Buffet breakfast at hotel. Drive to Bethany, the place that has been identified for nearly two millennia as the area where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. The late Pope John Paul II also visited the site as part of his spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Land at the start of the new millennium. Proceed to cross the border through Allenby Bridge to enter Israel. Welcome to Israel – the Land of Jesus. After entering into Israel to visit Jericho near Jordan River in West Bank of Palestine territories and well below sea level also known as city of Palm trees. Jericho is believed to be one of, if not the oldest cities in the world. It was the first city captured by the Israelites after their 40 years of wandering in the desert after the exodus from Egypt. Ironically, Jericho (along with the Gaza Strip) was the first territory given to the Palestinians by Israel as part of their peace agreement in 1994. Today, the Palestinian Authority is developing the town in hopes of making it a major tourist attraction. It is also where Yaser Arafat maintained a home. Lunch in local restaurant in Jericho. After lunch drive to Nazareth, the largest City in North district of Israel. According to the Gospel of Luke, Nazareth was the home of Joseph and Mary and the site of the Annunciation (when Mary was told by the Angel Gabriel that she would have Jesus as her son); in the Gospel of Matthew, Joseph and Mary resettle in Nazareth after fleeing to Egypt from their home in Bethlehem. The differences and possible contradictions between these two accounts of the nativity of Jesus are part of the Synoptic Problem. Nazareth is also allegedly where Jesus grew up from some point in his childhood. However, some modern scholars argue that Nazareth was also the birth place of Jesus. Check-in at the hotel for overnight stay in the historical city of Nazareth. On arrival at Nazareth, to complete check-in formalities followed by buffet dinner at hotel.

Visit Tabgha, the church of Loaves and Fishes, St Peter’s House, Cana Nazareth, a picturesque city and one of the best places of North Israel and known as home town of Jesus. History records that a church was built in Cana by Empress Helena (mother of Constantine) in the 4th century, and this was identified with the remains of a large building found by travellers to Kafr Kanna in the 17th century. Recent excavations have uncovered ruins of houses from the 1st-4th centuries AD, of a 5th-century atrium with portico, a Christian funerary building from the 5th or 6th century, and a medieval building. The land at Kafr Kanna was sold by the lord of Sidon to the Knights Hospitallers in 1254. Lunch in local restaurant. After lunch take a ride on the wooden boat for the “Jesus Boat” ride at Sea of Galilee. The base of Jesus’ early ministry, the Sea of Galilee – or Lake Kinneret, as it is known in Israel – is one of the most important locations for Christian faith. Many New Testament stories take place around the Sea of Galilee, and it was from this region that Jesus called his disciples to follow him. At about 212 meters (or nearly 700 feet) below sea level, the Sea of Galilee is the lowest freshwater lake in the world. This lake supports Israel’s life and agriculture today, just as it did in the past. We then proceed to the famous Bethlehem, South of Jerusalem. Day 09: Bethlehem to Ein Karem to Mt. Olives to Bethlehem

After Breakfast, drive to Ein Karem, an ancient village and Birth place of John the Baptist. Golgotha is the biblical name for the place where Jesus was crucified. It was probably a small hill just outside the walls of ancient Jerusalem. According to Christian tradition, it was within the area now occupied by the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continue to visit Mt. Olives in East Jerusalem with 3 peaks and also Jewish Cemetery holding 1,50,000 graves. Proceed to Gethsemane, a garden at the foot of Mt. Olives where Jesus prayed with his disciples before Crucifixion. While the above title is a matter of opinion there are a lot of reasons to validate the claim. For example the location of the Mount of Olives is a perfect place to take in views of the Temple Mount and the rest of the Old City. It’s also a very pleasant place to take a walk along the curvaceous road that leads to the top of the Mount of Olives. Plenty of shade, views, and usually solitude to go along with the fact that the Mount of Olives is quite a prominent place for those who believe in the events that are chronicled in the Bible. Be sure to have your camera ready for all the spectacular views of the Old City. Lunch in local restaurant in Jerusalem. After sightseeing return back to hotel. On arrival buffet dinner at hotel.
